It’s #GivingTuesday! A national day of giving following the Thanksgiving holiday. As we enter the Christmas season and near the end of 2019, there are several ways in which your generosity can help sustain our BC family in the New Year. Check out our Giving Guide below to see our top needs for 2020 and how your contributions can make a difference.

—2020 GIVING GUIDE—

HONDURAN STAFF SUPPORT: $600 MONTHLY

We are blessed to have an incredible staff of hardworking Hondurans who pour into the ministry daily. Currently, our team is made up of a preaching minister, house parents, an education assistant, an administrative assistant and an education/ministry driver. In 2020, our goal is to expand our capacity to house and serve teens, but we need to fortify our staff first. To add another part-time house parent position and continue appropriately compensating our existing staff for the value they bring to the ministry, we need to raise an additional $600 per month ($7,200 total yearly). Monthly contributions of any amount would help us invest in our BC team.

BILINGUAL SCHOOL PARTIAL SPONSORSHIPS: $100 MONTHLY (2 NEEDED)

Our education program boasts 19 students who are sponsored to attend a local, Christian, bilingual school. The majority of the students are fully funded, but we have two remaining who are each in need of $100 per month to round out their full costs. A bilingual education has proven to be a game changer for many of our kids. Not only does it give the child increased academic knowledge and opportunities, but it grows them emotionally, spiritually and in their confidence to succeed. Please consider investing in the life of one of these children by giving toward their remaining needs.

BUILDING FACADE REPAIR: $6,500 (ONE-TIME CONTRIBUTION)

We are blessed to have a building that serves the ministry and community in many ways. As an older structure (built in 1912), significant repair needs arise from time to time that must be addressed. The greatest need right now is repairing the building’s exterior which has deteriorated over time. Repairing the building facade is necessary to ensure that the building’s structure remains sound, as well as providing a welcoming exterior for those who come to the ministry. Because the building is located in a historic area of town, the work will be done by a Honduran company that can repair it in accordance with local historical codes. The remaining cost for materials and labor to complete the project is $6,500. Please consider a one-time gift toward this need.
