lnternships allow interested individuals to walk alongside our BC team and get to know the people the ministry serves on a deeper level. Interns volunteer at our ministry facility, participate in street outreach, help coordinate mission teams and spend valuable time with our BC families and young adults.

There are two types of internships available: Lead Internships and General Internships.

Lead Internship:

Lead internships are available to college-age students with an interest in urban ministry or Spanish. Our team selects lead interns through an application and interview process and must be available to work from May 15 to Aug. 5, 2017. Lead interns take on greater responsibility and become instrumental in helping the BC team by helping lead mission teams, preparing devotionals for our young adults, teaching Sunday school classes and growing in deeper relationships with our BC family. If you are interested in applying, please download the lead internship application, and submit it to the listed email address.

General Internship:

General internships are open to upper-level high school students, college students, and young adults. General interns may apply to work for periods of time ranging from two weeks to two months during the summer season and are approved based on the ministry's schedule and availability. General interns see the daily workings of the ministry, spend valuable time with BC families and young adults and assist the BC team with group coordination and general ministry efforts. If you are interested in applying, please download the general internship application, and submit it to the listed email address.

Volunteer service typically occurs during the summer months; however, the ministry is open to individuals interested in urban ministry who would like to serve for longer periods of time throughout the year. Traditionally, these individuals have worked with Breaking Chains before as interns. If you are a young adult (post-high school) who is interested in making a longer term commitment to serving in Honduras, please contact mail@bchonduras.org.
